UPDATE: 🚨 Six Arrested in Sierra Vista Drive-By Shooting — Three Identified as Adults, Three Juveniles Charged as Adults 🚨

The Sierra Vista Police Department has released the identities of the three adult individuals arrested in connection with Monday’s drive-by shooting and crash near 3rd Street and Canyon Drive in Sierra Vista.

Authorities confirm that three adults and three juveniles were taken into custody. While information on the juveniles cannot be released, the three adults have been identified as:

• Erick Acedo, 19, of Sierra Vista (photo below)
• Chancellor Martin, 18, of Sierra Vista (photo below)
• Noah Bojorquez, 18, of Sierra Vista (photo below)

SVPD PRESS RELEASE:

“Three adults and three juveniles were arrested and charged after exchanging gunshots from their vehicles Monday afternoon.

On Monday, April 13, at about 3:30 p.m., law enforcement responded to a report of a drive-by shooting near 3rd Street and Canyon Drive. 911 callers reported they had heard squealing car tires, multiple shots fired, and then a car wreck. Four occupants from the crashed vehicle fled on foot, while the second vehicle also fled the scene.

Officers on scene located a white SUV crashed into a light pole at 3rd Street. Two occupants from the disabled vehicle were contacted and detained for questioning, while a third returned to the scene and was also detained.

During the initial investigation, police learned that there was a physical altercation between two groups at about 3:15 p.m. at the Circle K in the 5000 block of Highway 90. After separating from that incident, the two groups came upon each other again and exchanged shots from both vehicles. No one was injured in the exchange of gunfire, and two occupants from the crash were cleared medically.

With community assistance, investigators secured the other vehicle’s description and license plate number, which they shared with regional agencies. The second vehicle, a silver sedan, was located at the Douglas Walmart later that day. The occupants in the vehicle were detained for questioning.

Three adults and three juveniles, who are being charged as adults, were booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of drive-by shooting, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm at a structure, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, weapons misconduct, and endangerment.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with any information about the altercation at Circle K, the shooting, or other individuals who may have been involved, are asked to please contact SVPD Detective Jessica Ferrel at (520) 452-7500 or provide an anonymous tip to 88-CRIME.”

Some things lean - and keep standing anyway. That's wisdom earned the hard way.

This old loading chute on Brown Canyon Ranch in Hereford Arizona has weathered a hundred summers, a thousand desert nights, and whatever storms rolled through the Huachucas and swooped down its eastern slopes with heavy gusted winds. The posts have given ground. The rails have shifted. But the whole structure - leaning, worn, silver with age - is still there. Still holding its shape against the mountains. Still framing the sky.

And what a sky to frame.

A full moon, filtered by burning skies filled with heavy, reddened dust, burns through the clouds like a coal that never cooled. The stars hold their positions - patient, indifferent to the drama of the weather below.

And those amber clouds... lit from beneath by the glow of a world full of people who rarely look up - move through the frame like they own it.

But they don't.
The stars were there before them.
And the stars will be there long after.

Some Mondays feel like that corral looks. A little tilted. A few rails out of place. The week ahead rolling in like weather you didn't forecast.

That's fine.

Perfection is rarely the positions that we hold, but the next step forward as we allow each second to wash over us.
