Another Monday.
Righ

Another Monday.
Right?
I hear you.

That storm isn't coming for you — it's already there, hanging over the middle distance like a question you haven't figured out how to ask yet. The clouds are doing what clouds do: building, rolling, cutting off the easy view of what's ahead. And somewhere behind all of it, the sun is doing what the sun does — burning anyway.

That golden light bleeding through the edges isn't mercy. It's physics. Light finding the gaps. It doesn't negotiate with the storm. It doesn't wait for better conditions. It simply moves at the speed of light, because that's what it is.

There's a lesson in that stubbornness.

Those spotlights falling on the valley floor? You can't know yet if they're marking a destination worth reaching, or if they're a warning worth heeding. That's the honest truth of every new beginning when the first step's decision awaits which risk you're willing to take. It's every chapter that starts before you've finished the last one. The desert doesn't promise you an easy read of the terrain. It just offers the terrain.

So we move. Often towards what's lit. What's calling. Where the gravity is greatest, all predicted by our past experiences. Then we adjust when the light moves.

The clouds aren't the enemy, they're the curriculum, and this week's lessons are already posted on the sky.

You've navigated much darker skies than this and found your way through. You're still here, watching the horizon, steadying your steps, and searching for someone to hold onto if the way becomes too rough.

So..
Go.

🔥 FOR IMMEDIATE R

🔥 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 🔥

The City of Sierra Vista has announced that controlled burns will begin Tuesday, February 24, at the Environmental Operations Park.

Starting Tuesday and continuing for several weeks (weather permitting), the City’s Public Works Department will conduct weekday controlled burns at the Environmental Operations Park (EOP), located at 6801 Highway 90 in Sierra Vista.

What to Expect:
• Burns will take place on weekdays
• Operations begin in the morning and typically conclude by noon
• Schedules are weather-dependent
• Daily updates will be posted on the City’s Facebook page on mornings when burns are planned

These burns are part of routine annual maintenance for the City’s wastewater treatment facility. According to the City, the controlled burns help:
✔️ Reduce mosquito populations
✔️ Clear dying vegetation to promote healthy new growth
✔️ Aerate soil ahead of spring

Residents on the east side of Sierra Vista may see smoke that could be visible from several miles away. Officials emphasize this is planned activity and not an emergency situation.

For more information, residents can visit the city website at:

AMERICAN PRIDE🇺

AMERICAN PRIDE🇺🇲OLYMPIC 2026 PHOTO THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY🥇24- year old Jack Hughes scores the winning goal in OT for team USA Sunday as he loses a tooth in the process. All this came on the very same day 46 years ago today team USA won the Miracle On Ice game electrifying a nation in 1980.

🇺🇸 Team USA made history: 🥇 12 Gold Medals — a NEW all-time record for the winter olympics (breaking the previous record of 11)
🏅 33 Total Medals — 2nd overall

📊 Early viewership data showed a 93% increase over the Beijing Games, helped by a more favorable European time zone. Yet social platforms didn’t seem to light up the way they usually do.

One possible reason? Audience behavior is shifting: 📱 Under-35 viewers are moving away from multi-week event engagement
🎬 Short-form, fast content is replacing long viewing windows

👥 According to sproutsocial.com 61% + of ALL social media users are Gen Z (30%) and ages 25–35 (31.6%), which may explain the lower long-form Olympic chatter.

🥇 Team USA Gold Medal Highlights Included:
• Men’s Ice Hockey — Gold medal overtime victory
• Women’s Ice Hockey — Gold medal win
• Men’s 1000m & 500m Speed Skating (2 Golds)
• Slalom & Alpine Combined (2 Golds)
• Women’s Figure Skating
• Mixed Team Aerials — Gold medal
• Team Figure Skating — Gold medal
• Breezy Johnson: Womens Downhill Skiing
• Elizabeth Lemley: Women's ski moguls.
• Alex Ferreira: Men's ski halfpipe.
• Elana Meyers Taylor: Women's monobob.

🤔 Did the Games feel quieter on your feed this year?

Did you watch more, scroll more, or miss some of the big moments?

🕊️Obituary for

🕊️Obituary for Luke McGrath Robert 🕊️

Luke McGrath Robert, lovingly known to his friends as “Big Luke” and affectionately called “Uncle Pookie” by his nieces and nephew, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Sierra Vista, at the age of 20, due to a motorcycle accident.

At the time of his death, he was an organ donor. Since he was so young and healthy, he would likely improve many people’s lives by being selfless with these gifts.

Luke was born on April 12, 2005, in Sierra Vista, Arizona, to his parents, Nolan Robert and Kim Robert.

Luke graduated from Buena High School in 2023. He worked at Big O Tires for three years before beginning his career with Boart Longyear in June 2025. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

Luke had a passion for anything involving cars and motorcycles, whether he was working on them or driving them. Since childhood, he enjoyed building Lego sets, a hobby that reflected both his patience and creativity. He was funny, always trying to find humor in what he was doing. He loved board games, cards and being outdoors and had recently begun exploring new adventures, including skydiving and snowboarding.

Those who knew Luke will remember his outgoing personality and larger-than-life presence. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel like his best friend, no matter their age. Luke had a deeply caring heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. His energy, laughter, and way of making every moment special will be remembered by all who loved him.

Luke is survived by his father & mother: Nolan & Kim Robert; his sister, Kaitlin Belvo; his grandparents: Bill Wendt (Douglas, AZ), Thomas and Lori McGrath (Danbury, CT) and Hulin Robert (Hammond, LA), many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, three very special nieces a nephew, a very loving girlfriend, Elissa and many extended family members and close friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Grandmothers predeceased are Debra Wendt (Douglas, AZ) and Elizabeth (Betty) Robert (Hammond, LA).

A memorial service will be held at Hatfield Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Please join his family and close friends as they gather to celebrate Luke’s life and share memories of the joy he brought to so many.

Luke’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, adventure, and unforgettable moments. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

🎙️ CoolFMLive Interview: A Bold Vision for Girls & Community in Southern Arizona 🎙️

CoolFMLive recently sat down with Acacia Simone Barnett, founder of Hattie B. Black Women In Progress (Hattie B. BWIP), to talk about her growing impact across Cochise County — and her powerful vision for the future in the Bisbee area.

Inspired by the legacy of her grandmother, Hattie Barnett, Acacia has built BWIP into a nonprofit focused on mentorship, leadership development, and empowerment for young women. What began as a passion project has grown into a movement helping girls build confidence, character, and community.

🏨 The Hotel & Community Camp Initiative
During our interview, Acacia also shared details about BWIP’s capital campaign to build a permanent hotel and camp space near Bisbee — a place that would serve as both a retreat center and long-term home for their expanding programs. The initiative aims to create opportunity, sustainability, and a lasting community hub for generations to come.
