🩵 Community Support Needed for a Loving Mother in Hospice Care 🩵
A local family is walking through an unimaginable heartbreak, and they’re asking for our community’s support.
Valerie shared that her mother — a truly kind and selfless woman — has always put her five children and everyone around her first. She spent her life caring for others, loving deeply, and showing up whenever someone was in need.
Recently, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Just one month later, the family learned it was already Stage 4. Everything happened so fast. On Friday February the 13th, she suffered internal bleeding and had to undergo emergency surgery. Now, her family is by her side as she remains in hospital hospice care during her final days.
As they focus on surrounding their mom with love, comfort, and dignity, they are also facing the financial strain that comes with sudden medical emergencies and end-of-life care.
If you feel moved to help, please consider supporting their GoFundMe:
👉 gofund.me/78ea6a0a6
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post and keeping the family in your prayers means more than words can express.
Let’s come together as a community to lift this family up and honor a mother who has given so much love to others throughout her life. ❤️

SKI MASK BURGLARS ON THE LOOSE: At approximately midnight on Tuesday, the Sierra Vista Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 500 block of 7th Street. A 911 call was placed by the victim, who reported that three unknown individuals, dressed in all black and wearing ski masks, were attempting to break into their vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed the three suspects fleeing on foot towards Busby Drive after jumping a wall, prompting a foot pursuit. Although the suspects were not apprehended, an abandoned backpack, potentially belonging to the suspects, was recovered. This house cam video captures footage of only two of the three suspects. If you have any information on who these individuals may be please contact the Sierra Vista Police Department.
A Cochise County Sheriff's Officer en route to the scene to assist the Sierra Vista Police Department in apprehending the individuals was involved in a collision after another vehicle pulled out onto Fry Blvd by Taco Giro, causing the Deputy to crash while traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy and the other driver are ok. A link to that story post is here:

These suspects in this video are believed not to be associated with another vandalism and theft incident earlier that evening at Skills Academy in Sierra Vista where security cameras caught a partial face of the suspect in that situation. A link to that story is here:

🚨 Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Cochise County Sheriff’s Deputy 🚨
A Sierra Vista man was arrested for a DUI after crashing into a Cochise County Sheriff's Office vehicle shortly after midnight.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, at about 12:10 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a traffic collision between a black sedan and a fully marked CCSO patrol vehicle near the intersection of Coronado Drive and Fry Boulevard.
A CCSO deputy was driving westbound on Fry Boulevard, enroute to the 500 block of 7th Street, when a black Hyundai sedan failed to yield while making a left turn from Fry Boulevard into a business driveway near Coronado Drive. The deputy’s vehicle collided with the sedan, resulting in major damage to both vehicles. Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital for further treatment.
During the investigation, SVPD discovered that the deputy was responding to assist Sierra Vista police with a foot pursuit following a reported vehicle burglary. The deputy was not operating with lights and sirens and was driving above the posted speed limit.
The driver of the sedan was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and open containers of alcohol were located inside his vehicle. The driver of the sedan was arrested for DUI, and a search warrant was obtained for his blood. After the blood draw was complete, he was released from police custody to obtain further medical treatment. Charges against the suspect are pending the results of the blood analysis.
A joint investigation of the collision is ongoing by a regional reconstruction team with personnel from both the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and the Sierra Vista Police Department. In accordance with standard procedure, each agency is also conducting separate investigations.
This is an ongoing investigation, and further information will be released when available and appropriate.
