💔 A Growing Memor

💔 A Growing Memorial of Love: Sierra Vista Honors Two Young Lives Lost Too Soon 💔

In the days following Tuesday’s heartbreaking tragedy, something powerful has begun to take shape in Sierra Vista — a quiet, deeply moving tribute built by the hands and hearts of a grieving community.

On the north side of Bella Vista Elementary School, a growing memorial now stands in honor of the two young boys — just 7 and 9 years old — whose lives were tragically taken in the April 7, 2026 crash at Highway 90 and Coronado Drive.

What started as a few flowers has quickly become something much more.

Stuffed animals rest gently beside flickering candles. Handwritten notes filled with love, heartbreak, and prayers are tucked between bouquets. Balloons sway softly in the breeze — each one a symbol of a life remembered, a childhood cherished, and a community that refuses to forget.

Parents have brought their children to pay respects. Strangers have become united in grief. Many stop quietly, some in tears, others in silence — but all with the same purpose: to honor two boys who meant the world to those who knew them… and now mean something to an entire city.

This memorial is more than just a collection of items.

It is a reflection of who Sierra Vista is.

A community that shows up.
A community that cares.
A community that wraps its arms around those who are hurting — even when the pain feels impossible to carry.

As their mother, Jenn — lovingly known as “Mimi” — continues to fight for her life, she does so surrounded by a wave of support that stretches far beyond the hospital walls. That same love is now visible here, in this space filled with memories, prayers, and an overwhelming sense of unity.

There are no words that can fully ease a loss like this.

But in the quiet presence of this memorial… in every flower placed, every candle lit, every note written… there is a message being sent loud and clear:

You are not alone.
You will not be forgotten.
And this community stands with you.

If you visit, please be respectful of the space and those who are grieving.

And as always, please continue to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

❤️🐶 PET OF THE WEEK: MEET FERN! 🐶❤️

Sponsored by Sierra Toyota | Locally Owned • Community Driven

CoolFMLive is excited to introduce you to Fern — a sweet, resilient girl who is READY to find her forever home!

Fern’s journey started with uncertainty. She was rescued from the Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control shelter alongside her brother, Finn (who you may remember from CoolFMLive). With the shelter out of space, both were at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, a foster stepped in just in time.

Today, Fern is safe — but she’s still waiting for her next chapter

Meet Fern:
• About 18 months old
• 65 pounds of love and energy
• Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped
• Crate trained & potty trained
• Clean bill of health (fecal & blood work)
• Did great at the groomers!

Fern may have started off shy, but now that she’s settled into her foster home, her personality is shining through!

She’s playful, energetic, and ready for a home that can give her the space and activity she needs.

Fern’s Perfect Home:
- Secure, fenced backyard for playtime
- Active owner or family who can give her regular exercise
- Best as an only dog OR with other larger dogs

Fern is in need of a new foster or adoptive home quickly, as her current situation isn’t giving her the activity level she needs to thrive.

Fern is healthy, trained, and 100% ready to meet her forever family.

📍 Available through Arrow’s Landing
📧 arrows.landing.rescue@gmail.com
📱 Follow Arrow’s Landing Rescue on Facebook for updates and adoption info

If you’ve been looking for a loyal, energetic companion who just needs a chance to shine — Fern could be your perfect match.

Even if you can’t adopt right now, PLEASE SHARE this post. Someone you know might be looking for a dog just like Fern 🐾

Let’s help this beautiful girl find the loving home she deserves

🚁⚠️ CH-53E Helicopters to Fill the Skies Tonight During Military Training Exercise ⚠️🚁

Notice made from U.S. Army Fort Huachuca regarding Military Training tonight

“The Marine Aviation Weapons & Tactics Squadron One’s training exercise will take place 6-9 p.m. today, April 10 here. The exercise is conducted annually in April and October. The training event supports the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters based in Yuma, Arizona.

During the exercise, CH-53Es fly into Libby Army Airfield and Hubbard Landing Zone. Marines exit the helicopters, secure selected areas, and return to their aircraft. On LAAF, the group conducts a Forward Air Refueling Point event, refueling a couple of the helicopters from a KC-130 extended-range tanker. This is done while the aircraft's engines are on. Additionally, several C-130 Hercules transport aircrafts will provide overhead support. The exercise ends with all helicopters and the KC-130 departing LAAF within the two-hour window.

Efforts are made to reduce the noise footprint of the helicopters crossing Huachuca City to the East Range, however, residents in this area will hear the CH-53Es flying in formation to and from the East Range. While the exercise is being conducted, LAAF will close the airfield to non-participating aircraft.

A Notice to Airmen has been published to alert all local pilots and others intending to fly in during this time period. This provides a safe training environment and protects general aviation aircraft from a military exercise.”

CORONADO ATHLETIC CLUB MERGES WITH VAIL SOCCER CLUB! IT’S “CHECKING IN WITH JEFF DAVENPORT,” PRESENTED BY THE ED MORSE AUTOMOTIVE GROUP!

After years of semi-professional soccer in Sierra Vista, the Coronado Athletic Club is merging with Vail Soccer Club.

How will this affect the future? In a recent press release:

“We are thrilled to announce the official merger of Coronado Athletic
Club with the Vail Soccer Club. By bringing our two communities
together, we are creating a stronger, more unified home for youth
development that will benefit your players for years to come.
We are incredibly excited about the future possibilities this
partnership opens up. By combining our strengths, we can now offer a
shared, high-level game model and a consistent training methodology
across all age groups in your community. This synergy ensures that
every player receives the best possible path for growth.
One of the greatest advantages of this merger is the ability to pool our
resources. Our focus is not to combine, but rather to share resources to foster player development in the Cochise community. Our new members
will now have access to an expanded team of highly educated and
talented coaching staff, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to
the field. While your look may be changing, our commitment to your players and your local community remains our top priority. We look forward to hitting the ground running and seeing what we can achieve as one team. Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this exciting new chapter.”
