‼️ SIERRA VISTA POLICE REPORT DETAILS RELEASED IN FEBRUARY 24 CCSO DEPUTY-INVOLVED CRASH ‼️

A Sierra Vista Police Department report has been obtained regarding the February 24, 2026 traffic collision involving Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bradley Eller that occurred just after midnight on Fry Boulevard in Sierra Vista.

According to the report, the driver 26-year-old Jon McAdory of the other vehicle involved in the collision was determined to be under the influence of alcohol with a reported blood alcohol concentration of .222 — nearly three times Arizona’s legal limit of .08.

The driver was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was initially charged with:
• Felony Aggravated Assault
• Extreme DUI
• Failure to Yield

According to Arizona DUI penalties outlined in the report, the driver faces mandatory jail time, fines and fees exceeding $3,200, a 90-day suspension of driving privileges, mandatory installation of an ignition interlock device, and required alcohol counseling.

The report also states that Deputy Eller was responding to assist Sierra Vista Police Department officers on a burglary call at the time of the incident.

Investigators documented that Deputy Eller was reportedly traveling approximately 88 mph in a 35 mph zone on Fry Boulevard at the time of the collision. The report further states the deputy was not operating emergency lights or sirens during the response.

According to the investigation, the DUI driver was attempting to turn into the Denny’s Restaurant parking lot when the collision occurred.

The report additionally notes investigators observed no visible brake marks from the deputy’s patrol vehicle and states Deputy Eller was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Deputy Eller has reportedly been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

The crash remains part of an active and ongoing review process.

‼️🔥TRUMP HATE

‼️🔥TRUMP HATER ARSON SUSPECT IDENTIFIED AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN TOMBSTONE FIRE INVESTIGATION 🔥‼️

The Tombstone Marshal’s Office has announced that a suspect has been identified and taken into custody following an arson investigation connected to a fire reported at the Trump Store in Tombstone earlier this month.

According to officials, the investigation stems from a May 4, 2026 incident at the Trump Store, located at 1474 N. Highway 80 in Tombstone.

Investigators identified the suspect as 58-year-old Donald William Rudy of Benson.

Authorities say surveillance footage reviewed during the investigation showed Rudy arriving at the scene in a white Ford Raptor pickup truck. Investigators allege the suspect exited the vehicle, removed materials from the truck bed, and intentionally ignited a fire near brush and vegetation in the area.

Due to windy conditions at the time of the incident, officials expressed concern that the fire could have rapidly spread and threatened nearby businesses, property, and surrounding areas.

A witness reportedly confronted the suspect at the scene and later provided investigators with a statement. The witness also positively identified Rudy during a photo lineup conducted as part of the investigation.

The Tombstone Marshal’s Office stated that an arrest warrant for Rudy was issued on Monday, May 11, after he reportedly failed to appear in court in an unrelated case. Authorities then enlisted the assistance of the Cochise County Regional SWAT Team to execute a search warrant and take the suspect into custody.

The case is now expected to be forwarded to the Cochise County Attorney’s Office for review and potential formal charges.

The Tombstone Marshal’s Office thanked community members, witnesses, and the Cochise County Regional SWAT Team for their assistance throughout the investigation.

Anyone with additional information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Tombstone Marshal’s Office.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: STREET MAINTENANCE BEGINS MAY 18 IN SIERRA VISTA 🚧

Heads up, Sierra Vista! The City’s annual street maintenance work is set to kick off Monday, May 18, impacting several neighborhoods across the area.

Crews have already completed patching and crack sealing, and will now begin applying two layers of sand slurry to help extend the life of our roadways.

📍 Areas impacted include:
Pueblo Del Sol (Unit 8), Tract 109, Valle Viejo, and PDS Dos neighborhoods, with work taking place on multiple streets throughout these areas.

What residents need to know:
• Please move vehicles off the street by 7:00 AM during active work
• Expect temporary access delays during application and drying time
• Use alternate parking if you need to come and go
• Good news: Trash schedules will NOT change—crews will assist with bins if needed

⚠️ For drivers:
Slow down, follow posted signs, and watch for crews and equipment in work zones. If possible, plan ahead and take alternate routes to avoid delays.

Work is expected to continue through June 4, 2026

CoolFMLive Tip: These projects can cause short-term inconvenience, but they’re key to keeping our roads safer and longer-lasting—plan ahead and give yourself a little extra time when traveling through these areas.

BISBEE LIBRARY LOSES

BISBEE LIBRARY LOSES $650,000 IN POTENTIAL FUNDING: House Republicans on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture stripped $649,330 in requested funding for the Copper Queen Library in Bisbee, Arizona, from the FY2027 Agriculture Appropriations bill.

Key Details:

Reason for Funding Cut: The funding was removed after reports that the library hosted drag events in 2019 and 2024.

Purpose of Funds: The requested money was intended for structural maintenance and repairs, including fixing roofs and restoring floors.

Context of Rejection: Rep. Adelita Grijalva, who submitted the request, said that out of over 500 projects submitted to the subcommittee, the Copper Queen Library was one of only two rejected.

Grijalva stated "House Republicans just ripped $650,000 away from the Copper Queen Library in Bisbee — money meant for basic repairs — because the library hosted two drag shows. This library hosts HUNDREDS of community events a year. Punishing an entire community over culture war nonsense is pathetic. This is an assault on our trans community and first amendment rights. Public libraries belong to all of us, not just the far-right politicians throwing tantrums over drag queens."
