‼️ NEW PHOTOS & VIDEO OF GUTHRIE'S ABDUCTER RELEASED‼️
The following press release from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in Tucson AZ:
Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie‘s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors, including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.
Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance.
Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI, 520-351-4900, 88-CRIME or visit tips.fbi.gov.
‼️Please SHARE‼️
Further details: The home security camera footage in the Nancy Guthrie case could not be released right away because it was not automatically saved to the cloud due to an inactive subscription, and the camera device itself was removed from the home during the apparent abduction.
Key reasons for the delay in retrieving or releasing the footage included:
Lack of Subscription: Nancy Guthrie did not have an active subscription for her doorbell camera (reported as a Ring-type device, though Ring later noted it was not their brand). Without a subscription, these devices typically do not store recorded video, but only provide live feeds or, in some cases, limited, short-term data that quickly overwrites itself.
Removal of the Device: The camera was removed from the home during the incident, preventing investigators from immediately accessing any potential local storage.
Disconnected System: Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed the doorbell camera was disconnected early Sunday morning, around 1:47 a.m. on Feb. 1, 2026.
Time Required for Forensic Recovery: While the camera did not save the video in the cloud, investigators worked with partners to recover "residual data" from backend systems. This forensic, data-recovery process took over a week, leading to the eventual release of photos showing a potential suspect on February 10, 2026.

Where We Stand
There's a school of thought in landscape photography that says the frame should be pure — untouched, pristine, free of anything human hands have built. As if our presence is a stain on the canvas.
I tried that.
I gave it an honest go.
Then I let it go.
Because when I look through the lens, I'm not trying to photograph a world without us. I'm trying to photograph the world with us in it — the one we actually inhabit, the one we've scarred and shaped and, sometimes, honored.
This is the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The Huachuca Mountains are doing what they always do — standing there, ancient, indifferent to time. The sky is doing what it does best at golden hour — reminding you that light is never just light. It's always saying something.
But look at what sits between the desert floor and those golden skies! Flag poles. A pavilion. A curving road that leads somewhere with intention. Stone and mortar laid down by hands that wanted to say, "We remember".
This isn't a blemish on the landscape.
It's a conversation with it.
The tree on the left doesn't care about the road beside it. It was probably there before the asphalt and might very well outlast it. But right now, in this moment, they coexist — the wild and the built, the permanent and the temporary, the earth and the human need to mark it with meaning.
I keep manmade things in my frames because we ARE here, on this pale blue dot - building, breaking, ruining, restoring. Barbed wire cuts across a grassland. A windmill creaks against monsoon skies. A rusted truck returns slowly to the soil - the soil that made the ore - the ore that made the steel - the steel that made the truck.
These aren't distractions from the landscape.
They are the landscape.
The full, honest version of it.
I don't put them there to judge. I put them there to witness. What you make of it — elegy or indictment, hope or grief — that's yours to decide.
But I won't pretend we aren't part of this story. The most honest frames are the ones that include us. The ones where our stories are written. The ones that address this most beautiful place...
... in the fullest of screens.
Right there.
Where you are.

Following tips from the community, three suspects were taken into custody on February 6, 2026 including one adult and two juveniles.
According to SVPD, the adult arrested is 18-year-old Axel Vasquez of Sierra Vista. The two additional suspects are juveniles and are not being identified.

“SVPD makes arrest in Jan. 31 vehicle burglary incident
Following tips from the community, the Sierra Vista Police Department arrested three suspects in the Jan. 31 vehicle burglary incident in the 400 block of Denman Avenue.

HELP GET LEAH ACROSS THE FINISH LINE: We have a Sierra Vista local fur baby competing in the America’s Favorite Pet Contest, a national competition!
Melissa of Sierra Vista has entered her dog Leah for a chance to appear on the cover of Modern Dog Magazine and a $10,000 prize! Melissa made the following statement to Coolfmlive
"Leah has been part of our family for 16 years, and she still runs and plays like the same puppy we brought home all those years ago. She grew up as my daughter’s sidekick, but always came to me when she needed extra attention... or when she wanted to cuddle her way into an extra treat.
An interesting fact - Leah has a superpower: Training humans. Whenever we have company, she greets our guests and suckers them into petting her. Once she has them hooked, she gives "the look." Strong eye contact, alternated with a glance toward her treat stash on top of the refrigerator, and somehow everyone knows exactly what she wants. She may not talk, but her body language is unmistakable, and as convincing as a car salesman.
We entered Leah in the America’s Favorite Pet Contest amd she’s been doing great for the past month, but the competition is getting tougher. She currently sits in second place, and to advance to the final round, she needs to finish this round in first place.
Leah depends on daily votes to stay in the running. Voting is free, takes about 30 seconds, and only requires an email address with Facebook verification.
If you feel so inclined, we would truly appreciate your support. Thank you so much to our community. We’re grateful for every vote!"
