🚨DPS IDENTIFIES WOMAN KILLED IN TROOPER-INVOLVED SHOOTING ON I-10 NEAR BENSON 🚨
New information has been released in connection to Monday’s Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS Highway Patrol) trooper-involved shooting near Benson.
According to DPS, the individual who died following the incident has been identified as Berkleigh Jade Bond, 39, of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Authorities say the incident began shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, during a traffic stop on westbound Interstate 10 near Benson. During the encounter, a trooper-involved shooting occurred. DPS stated Bond died as a result of the incident. No troopers were reported injured.
At this time, investigators have not publicly released additional details regarding what led up to the shooting, including the reason for the initial traffic stop or further circumstances surrounding the use of force.
The investigation remains active and is being handled by the Arizona DPS Major Incident Division, according to the agency.

🚨 STABBING INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY IN SIERRA VISTA 🚨
**UPDATE: CANYON VISTA MEDICAL CENTER WAS PLACED ON A TEMPORARY LOCKDOWN**
Sierra Vista first responders and law enforcement are currently on scene in the 4400 block of Camino Principal following a reported stabbing incident.
According to information obtained by CoolFMLive, the individual who was stabbed is being transported to Canyon Vista Medical Center and is expected to be flown to Tucson for additional treatment due to the severity of injuries.
At this time, details surrounding the circumstances of the incident remain limited and have not yet been officially confirmed by authorities. Information regarding the victim’s condition, potential suspect information, or what led up to the incident has not yet been released.

THE TRUE STORY OF HOW ELECTION FRAUD NAMED SIERRA VISTA‼️
20 years ago today, during the celebration of Sierra Vista's 50th birthday, Nola Mae Walker, the woman who named Sierra Vista, shocked attendees with her confession that she never tallied the votes to name the town.
While seeking incorporation, local officials gave people in the community the opportunity to suggest a new name. Walker, a long-time resident of what was then called Fry, proposed the name "Sierra Vista" after gazing at the Huachuca Mountains from her porch.
Her suggestion, along with a handful of others including Fry, were mailed out to registered voters for final selection. During this process, Walker received and stored the returned voter postcards.
However, when the incorporation committee went to Phoenix to apply for incorporation, they found themselves in an awkward situation: their application was successful, but they didn't have the town's new name! They called Walker and asked for the winning name, to which she replied, "Sierra Vista," which became the name of the newly incorporated town on May 26, 1956.
Then, on May 26, 2006, 50 years after the City's incorporation, Nola Walker, racked with decades of guilt, confessed that she had never actually counted the votes. She was put on the spot, and the committee needed the name immediately, so she just chose Sierra Vista although she hadn't yet compiled the results.
After her heartfelt confession Sierra Vista City Council convened an executive session, and with a split vote, Walker later received a "full and unconditional pardon" for the crime of "falsifying the results of a public contest," which was granted on July 13, 2006. Due to the fact they were never actually counted nobody knows what name would have actually won out.

‼️ TOMBSTONE MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING EARLY MORNING SHOOTING ‼️
Authorities are continuing to investigate an early morning shooting that left one man seriously injured in Tombstone.
According to the Tombstone Marshal’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of North 12th Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday, May 25, following reports of an assault involving gunfire.
When law enforcement arrived, deputies located an adult male on the front porch suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim told responding deputies that the suspect remained inside the residence.
Deputies made contact with the suspect inside the home and took him into custody without further incident.
The injured man was treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to Tucson for additional medical care.
Investigators identified the suspect as Vincent Michael Deciutiis of Tombstone. Authorities stated both the suspect and victim lived at the North 12th Street residence where the shooting occurred.
According to investigators, the two men had reportedly been involved in an altercation earlier in the evening at the Oriental Saloon before the dispute continued after returning home and ultimately escalated into gunfire.
Deciutiis is being charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault/Domestic Violence, Endangerment, Attempted Murder.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Tombstone Marshal’s Office at (520) 803-3550.

At 12:33 p.m., forward progress on the Rucker Fire stopped. This means the fire is no longer advancing or testing the containment lines. Firefighters will build out containment lines throughout the day and address hot spots. The containment percentage will be updated this evening.
The road past Walnut Grove Campground is closed, along with the dispersed campsites near historic Rucker Lake, Raspberry Ridge Trail #282, Monte Vista Trail #221, and the Raspberry/Rucker Trailhead. Firefighters have continued full suppression efforts throughout the afternoon and evening. They will remain engaged throughout the night, watching for spot fires and developing containment strategies. A Type 4 Organization is responding, utilizing both air and ground resources.
There are no values at risk.
Evacuations are in place for the dispersed campsites near the historic Rucker Lake, Raspberry Ridge Trail #282, Monte Vista Trail #221, and the Raspberry/Rucker Trailhead. Visitors are asked to avoid the area as there will be additional traffic on Rucker Canyon Road and FSR 74E.

Smoke was reported northwest of the historic Rucker Lake, low in a remote canyon within the Chiricahua Wilderness. Firefighters immediately responded with air and ground support. Firefighter rappellers are being brought in via helicopter to support fire suppression tactics.

A newly reported wildfire is burning in Cochise County within the Coronado National Forest.
According to reports from the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), the Rucker Fire was first reported at approximately 12:53 PM Monday, May 25.
As of the latest update, the fire has grown to an estimated 40 acres. Containment information has not yet been released.

🚨 SIERRA VISTA POLICE SEEK PERSON OF INTEREST IN SUNDAY NIGHT SHOOTING 🚨
The Sierra Vista Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating an individual they would like to speak with following a non-fatal shooting investigation from Sunday evening.
According to investigators, officers responded around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, May 24 after reports of shots fired in the 2300 block of Cherry Hills Drive. Investigators say during the encounter, one individual was shot and later transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say 18-year-old Angel Valenzuela is wanted for questioning in connection with this investigation.
⚠️ Important: Being wanted for questioning does not mean someone has been charged with or committed a crime. Angel Valenzuela is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
