Sierra Vista 911🚨 Multi Vehicle Collision
Around 1:02 PM Friday, Sierra Vista Fire & Medical Services and the Sierra Vista Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving a Cochise County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle near Coronado Dr. & Fry Blvd. in Sierra Vista.
Multiple people were transported to CVMC with various injuries. 🚑
The roadway has since been reopened after crews cleared the scene. 🚓🚧

PARKER CANYON LAKE DEATH: A Coordinated Response to a Remote-Area Emergency On March 11, 2026, at approximately 1300 hours, Cochise County Search and Rescue was activated in response to a report of a subject in the water next to an overturned kayak at Parker Canyon Lake. The reported location was near the south shore east of the dam. Fry Fire Department paramedics and the CCSO helicopter were also dispatched to provide assistance. CCSO Deputy and SAR Coordinator Ian Williamson, along with Fry Fire Department medics, responded to the area and were directed down a forest road to gain closer access to the reported location. Upon arrival, they located the overturned kayak and a male subject facedown in the water. Paramedics immediately assessed the individual, but no signs of life were present. Additional SAR personnel arrived shortly afterward and assisted with recovering the subject from the water and transporting him to the parking area at the marina for transfer to the responding mortuary and transport to the Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office.The individual was a 71-year old from Green Valley AZ.
The kayak involved in the incident was also transported to the marina by the CCSO boat. The mission highlights the challenges responders often face in remote environments, where terrain, access, and communications can complicate response efforts. The coordinated work between Cochise County Search and Rescue, Fry Fire Department, and the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office ensured the recovery operation was conducted safely and professionally.
