🚔 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT RETURNS TO SIERRA VISTA! 🚒🐕‍🦺

Mark your calendars, Sierra Vista! National Night Out 2026 is coming up soon, bringing local law enforcement, first responders and the community together for an evening of family fun and community connection.

Hosted by the Sierra Vista Police, Fire, and EMS, National Night Out gives families a chance to meet the men and women who serve our community, check out emergency vehicles and displays, and learn more about the agencies working throughout our area.

⏰ 5–8 p.m.
📍 Veterans Memorial Park — 3105 E. Fry Blvd., Sierra Vista

There will be plenty happening throughout the evening, including K9 demonstrations, fire safety demonstrations, displays, giveaways, special guests and more!

🎶 Urban DJ & DJ V will also be providing music throughout the event.

🌭 Come hungry! Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Christmas With a Cop.

National Night Out is all about strengthening relationships between neighbors, law enforcement, first responders and the community they serve. Bring the kids, meet some of our local public safety professionals and enjoy an evening together at Veterans Memorial Park.

MOTHER OF TUCSON RUNAWAY BOY TAKES HER OWN LIFE: Mary Coleman of KOLD TV13 is reporting the following on her facebook page:

JUST IN: The mother of Ryker Lee, the young man who ran away last week, has taken her own life. She was facing multiple charges of child abuse.

Here is what we confirmed: "On September 27, around 5 a.m., the Pinal County Sheriff' Office received a tip about a man having a mental health crisis east of Mammoth.

A deputy drove to the location and found a man with what appeared to be self inflicted injuries.

The deputy also found a deceased woman with what appeared to be self-inflicted injuries. The woman was Danielle Lee-Sharp, 39.

The man was transported to a Tucson hospital."

While the assumption is that the man mentioned was Ryker's stepfather who's also facing charges, we have not been able to confirm that yet. I will update this with any new info.

Ryker was finally found last week and is safe.

🎭 Buena Fine Arts Presents Horse Girl 🐴

Get ready for a night of dark comedy, teenage intensity, and a whole lot of horse obsession! Buena Fine Arts proudly presents Horse Girl, a dark teen comedy by Jenny Rachel Weiner.

At the center of Horse Girl is Ashleigh, a 12-year-old equestrian enthusiast whose world revolves around horses and her riding club, the Lady Jean Ladies.

When the girls learn that their beloved horses may be in danger, their devotion quickly escalates into an increasingly wild mission to save them. What begins as youthful passion takes some surprising—and very darkly funny—turns as the play explores friendship, loyalty,
obsession, growing up, and just how far someone might go for something they love.

But the story on stage is only part of what makes this production special.

This is student theatre from curtain to curtain. Buena students aren't just the performers you see on stage—they are involved in designing, building, and running the entire production. From sets and costumes to lighting, backstage operations, technical production, and even the ticket booth, students are gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of bringing a live theatrical production to life.
